Customer Field Technician

About the role

nbn Field Technicians visit homes and businesses to install, connect, maintain and repair telecommunications infrastructure, helping Australians stay connected. Technicians work independently while supported by experienced leaders and peers, and opportunities are available nationally. The role suits people who enjoy hands-on practical problem solving, working outdoors and delivering good customer experiences.

Required profile

• Australian working rights and a current unrestricted driver's licence
• Experience working with tools, equipment, technical systems or operational processes
• Strong problem-solving ability, technical aptitude and commitment to safe work practices
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies, and confidence working independently outdoors
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Telecommunications experience is not essential; transferable skills are valued

What we offer

• Paid training: eight weeks of structured, paid training before field work, with ongoing development
• Permanent full-time employment at $93,200 per annum (inclusive of superannuation)
• Shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm, typically around 8 hours per day, with possible shift variation
• All tools, equipment and safety gear provided
