Customer Field Technician I - Wagga Wagga

About the role

nbn is looking for candidates based in the Wagga Wagga area, including those with a trade, technical or hands-on background who may be considering a career change. This is a permanent, full-time, customer-facing field role where you help connect homes and communities by installing, repairing and maintaining nbn technologies. You will work independently on tasks across a range of nbn technologies, primarily within homes and business premises.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper and fibre cabling and complete customer premises equipment installations
• Diagnose and repair faults
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Work between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility applied according to business needs

Required profile

• Ability to work with your hands, solve problems and communicate well with customers
• Background in a trade, hands-on technical role or customer-focused environment is highly valued (plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, general labouring, hospitality, manufacturing)
• Comfortable working independently, managing your own time and taking pride in quality work
• Current and clean Driver's Licence
• Full working rights in Australia
• Previous telecommunications experience is not required; training, tools and ongoing support are provided
