Customer Field Technician I - Mount Gambier

About the role

nbn is looking for people based in Mount Gambier who enjoy practical, hands-on work and are open to learning new skills. This is a permanent, full-time position where you work independently to complete a range of tasks across different nbn technologies, helping connect homes and communities. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Perform installations, repairs and maintenance
• Support customers in their homes or businesses, keeping them informed throughout the process
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• Experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, civils, hospitality, manufacturing or labouring is highly valued
• Previous telecommunications experience is an advantage but not required; full training is provided
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and communicating with customers
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Current, clean driver's licence and full working rights in Australia
• A criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment are required for the preferred candidate
