Customer Field Technician I - Bathurst

About the role

nbn is hiring a Customer Field Technician I in Bathurst, a permanent full-time, hands-on, customer-focused role that helps connect homes and communities. You will work independently to complete a range of tasks across different nbn technologies, including installations, repairs, maintenance and supporting customers in their homes or businesses. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Support customers in their homes or businesses and keep them informed throughout the process
• Follow nbn's safety procedures and apply safe work practices when working in customers' premises

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; training is provided
• Background in a trade, trade assistant or field-based work such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction, mechanical work or manufacturing is highly valued; apprentices are welcome
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and communicating with customers
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
