Crane/Borer Operator

About the role

Service Stream's Power division is looking for an experienced Crane/Borer Operator to join its Ausgrid team in Wetherill Park, Sydney. You will report to the Works Manager and cover maintenance and construction work on the Ausgrid network, including timber and steel pole replacements, defect rectification and emergency response. The position is permanent and full time.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain overhead power lines supplying electricity to domestic, commercial and industrial users.
• Carry out maintenance and construction work on the Ausgrid network under the Works Manager.
• Work on timber and steel pole replacements, defect rectification and emergency response.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a crane/borer operator, with relevant training and HR licences.
• Current High Risk Work licence and a Construction White/Blue card.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to meet project productivity targets and target costs.
• Commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Required skills

• C6 or C2 crane licence
• Desirable: forklift licence, chainsaw ticket, dogging tickets
