Cost Controller – Oil & Gas (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join a leading organisation in the Oil & Gas sector. The role will manage financial performance, control project costs, and ensure accurate reporting across procurement, labour, and finance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cost centre performance and internal orders using SAP CO module.
• Oversee contractor timesheets and service entries in Fieldglass, ensuring compliance with rates and headcount.
• Manage purchase‑to‑pay workflows in Coupa, ensuring correct budget coding and approvals.
• Perform regular reconciliation across SAP, Coupa, and Fieldglass systems.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis (Plan vs Actual) and develop Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
• Validate invoices against service delivery, ensure rate compliance with MSAs, and manage month‑end accruals.
• Prepare dashboards and weekly spend reports, supporting internal and external audits.
• Maintain cost structures, including WBS and cost centres.

Required profile

• 5+ years of cost controlling experience in Oil & Gas, mining, or heavy industry.
• Strong analytical abilities with a track record of challenging and interpreting financial data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SAP CO module.
• Experience with Fieldglass.
• Working knowledge of Coupa.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Data Modelling).
