Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

EY's Corporate Tax team is growing quickly due to increased demand for its services, and it is looking for experienced tax professionals, including Tax Managers with 4-8 years of professional services or industry experience. The position is based in Tarndanya, Adelaide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
• Deliver corporate taxation advisory services tailored to client needs, supporting senior team members on complex engagements such as ATO risk reviews, audits and ruling applications.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, collaborating with specialist teams on international tax, transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions.
• Supervise and mentor the team, including senior consultants, consultants and graduates, acting as a counsellor for juniors and helping build a positive, high-performance team culture.

Required profile

• Detailed knowledge of the Australian taxation system, gained in a professional services firm or comparable role, with expertise in corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes and ATO lodgement obligations.
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading direct engagements with clients on substantive tax matters.
• CA qualification or equivalent, or completion of other postgraduate studies (e.g. Tax Masters); technical knowledge of IFRS and tax accounting is an advantage but not essential.
