Corporate Lawyer – Associate

About the role

Join Piper Alderman’s high‑performing Corporate team and work on complex, market‑leading transactions from day one. You will advise a diverse range of clients on corporate transactions, capital raisings, M&A, corporate governance and energy & resources matters.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners and senior lawyers on corporate and commercial transactions and agreements.
• Conduct legal research, provide analysis and assist with client consultations, meeting materials and advice.
• Participate in due diligence, support capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of post‑admission corporate experience.
• Experience with joint ventures, asset and company acquisitions/disposals and capital raisings for listed and unlisted clients.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules.
• Understanding of general corporate compliance and governance.
