Contracts Superintendent / Specialist

About the role

The Contracts Superintendent/Specialist will act as the key interface between site operations and corporate Supply Chain at the Dawson Mine. The role focuses on category and contract management to ensure contracts deliver real value on safety, performance and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Support central Supply Chain and Commercial functions with planning, strategy development and reporting aligned to site priorities.
• Monitor and optimise contracts to drive safety, performance and cost outcomes.
• Lead tender processes, including scope development, supplier engagement and bid evaluations.
• Lead contract performance and governance, including KPIs and compliance.
• Support contract variations, commercial decisions and supplier selection.
• Partner closely with site teams to align operational needs with full‑lifecycle Supply Chain delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in category management and contract management (implementation, performance, governance).
• Background in mining, heavy industry or asset‑based environments.
• Experience supporting tenders, sourcing or procurement activities.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing operational teams.
• Commercially minded with a focus on value delivery through contracts.
• Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Business, etc.
• Current S1, S2, S3 & G2 Supervisor qualification.

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP experience (desirable).
