Contract Recruitment Consultant - Defence

About the role

Kinexus is adding a contract recruiter to its established Defence recruitment team in Melbourne. It suits a recruiter wanting to move into defence recruitment and learn from an experienced contract defence recruiter, within a high-performing, collaborative team supported to grow expertise in contractor management, client engagement, business development and workforce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a contract recruitment desk in the Defence and Government sector
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, contractors and candidates
• Deliver consistent contractor placements and ongoing workforce solutions across key accounts
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
• Build and maintain talent pools of security-cleared and specialist professionals
• Negotiate contract opportunities and manage contractor engagement throughout the employment lifecycle
• Develop a strong market presence and become a trusted advisor to clients and candidates
• Work with leadership to identify growth opportunities for the desk and wider business
• Mentor and support a team of recruiters where appropriate

Required profile

• Demonstrated success managing a profitable contract or temporary recruitment desk
• Experience maintaining recurring revenue streams and growing existing client relationships
• Defence, Government, Infrastructure, ICT, Engineering or technical recruitment experience
• Ability to step into an established business and build on an already successful foundation

• Relationship-building and stakeholder management
