Permanent Recruitment Consultant - Defence Engineering

About the role

Kinexus, which has helped Australia's Defence, National Security and Federal Government sectors find talent for over 25 years, is recruiting a permanent recruitment consultant. You will join a team of experienced recruiters managing long-standing client portfolios, with immediate exposure to established clients and active job flow. As you build your own client base and discipline focus, you will balance established business with building a portfolio you can call your own.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established permanent recruitment desk in the Defence, Engineering and Technical sectors
• Build relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities
• Generate revenue through business development and account growth
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver recruitment solutions across specialist technical disciplines
• Build and maintain talent pipelines in Defence, Engineering and Technical markets
• Develop trusted adviser relationships with clients and candidates
• Negotiate terms of business and manage end-to-end recruitment processes
• Represent Kinexus at industry events, networking activities and client engagements

Required profile

• Established recruiter with 5+ years' experience, ideally in Defence, Engineering, Infrastructure or Technical recruitment
• Demonstrated success managing and growing a profitable permanent recruitment desk
• Proven experience developing long-term client relationships and repeat business
• Defence industry knowledge or experience with technical and engineering talent markets (highly regarded)
