Workplace Experience Manager

About the role

A fast-growing deep tech company in Melbourne, with about 60 people in its office, is looking for a Workplace Experience Manager. This is a full-time, fully onsite role that keeps the office running smoothly while making sure every visitor feels welcome, supported and part of the team. It suits someone who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while keeping a personal touch.

Key responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for anything people need in the office, handling requests quickly and warmly
• Plan and run office events, team gatherings and celebrations
• Own the onboarding experience so new starters feel set up and welcomed from day one
• Look after culture and engagement, noticing how people feel and keeping morale and connection strong
• Manage day-to-day office running: facilities, supplies, maintenance and vendors
• Handle procurement of office equipment, supplies and services, keeping costs and suppliers in check
• Maintain office standards so the space is clean, organised, safe and welcoming
• Help shape the workplace as it grows, from space planning to new rituals and ways of working
• Work with leadership on initiatives that improve the employee experience

Required profile

• Natural people person, approachable, warm and genuinely interested in others
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can switch priorities quickly
• Proactive, highly organised and able to juggle events, requests and operations
• Clear, confident communication with everyone from new starters to leadership
• Experience in workplace experience, office management, employee experience, people operations or a similar role
• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus
