About the role
The Department of Health seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver specialist psychiatric services for the Top End Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service and to contribute to medical education and training programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical psychiatry services at Consultant level to the Top End Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
- Participate fully in teaching psychiatry to medical students as part of the Northern Territory Medical Program.
- Engage in the Post Graduate Psychiatry Training Program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry.
Required profile
- Qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with experience at SMO1.1 – SMO1.6 level.
- Demonstrated ability to work within the Northern Territory health system and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to clinical excellence, education and professional development.
