Consultant General Physician (FRACP) – Regional Health Service

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant General Physician (FRACP) to join a leading regional health service located between Sydney and Melbourne. The role involves delivering high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care to patients with complex co‑morbidities and undifferentiated illnesses, while contributing to teaching and service development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical management for diverse patient populations.
• Participate in the acute general medicine roster to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centred treatment.
• Supervise, mentor and educate registrars, junior medical officers and medical students.
• Lead service development, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree registered or registrable with AHPRA.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with advanced training.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
