Construction Project Manager – Darwin

About the role

This position is for an experienced construction professional who will own projects from award through to handover. Based in Darwin, you will report to senior management and be responsible for delivering commercial, government and private‑sector projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from commencement to completion.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, construction schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepare and submit progress and variation claims with supporting documentation.
• Administer contracts and manage project correspondence.
• Monitor performance against programme, budget and quality objectives.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality and environmental standards.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to management.

Required profile

• Trade qualification, preferably Carpentry/Building.
• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Experience preparing progress claims and managing project finances.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with a commitment to outcomes.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
