Construction Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

All Energy Contracting (AEC) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on‑site delivery of major renewable energy projects. The first assignment will be the Fraser Coast Hybrid Solar and BESS project, a 330 MW solar farm with a 180 MW/360 MWh battery system and a 275 kV grid connection in Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site construction across civil, electrical and mechanical works, ensuring safety, schedule and budget compliance.
• Direct and support Supervisors and Foremen to drive daily execution.
• Manage labour, plant, subcontractors and materials to optimise productivity and sequencing.
• Monitor progress and quality, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Ensure works meet approved designs, specifications and construction methodologies.
• Own site quality outcomes from inspections through to defect close‑out.
• Coordinate construction interfaces across engineering, procurement, commissioning and QA.
• Coach and develop Supervisors and report progress and cost‑to‑complete to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing construction projects in renewables, infrastructure or civil sectors, preferably solar.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site logistics.
• Demonstrated leadership of site‑based supervisory teams.
• Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and safe work practices.
• Construction Induction (White) Card, First Aid Certification and a valid driver’s licence.
• Australian working rights and ability to meet site medical and fitness requirements.
• Formal qualification in Building, Construction or a related discipline.
