Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead and coordinate all on‑site construction activities for the Mt Spec Road reconstruction project north of Townsville. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure the works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, budget, quality, stakeholder and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site construction activities for the Mt Spec Road reconstruction project.
• Ensure delivery against programme, budget, quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Supervisors, Engineers and subcontractors to align methodology, sequencing and productivity.
• Maintain high standards of WHS, environmental and quality compliance throughout the site.
• Monitor and report progress, risks and issues to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Significant experience delivering large, complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical, commercial and contractual understanding.
• Deep knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality regulations.
• Leadership and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Slope stabilisation techniques (preferred).
• WHS compliance and safety management.
• Use of ISO‑certified quality systems.
• Financial management tools for project budgeting.
• Project controls platforms for schedule and cost tracking.
