Construction Grading Crew Member (Plant Operator)

About the role

Hilltops Council is looking for a Construction Grading Crew Member to work as part of a small, mobile grading crew on road and other civil infrastructure construction projects. The role is based at the Young Works Depot and offers a chance to build a career in Civil Operations, operating a wide range of plant and opening several career pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a small, mobile grading crew on road and civil infrastructure projects.
• Operate a variety of plant equipment.
• Work reasonable overtime on occasion and be on a rotating on-call roster for emergency response; overtime rates, shift penalties and on-call allowances apply.

Required profile

• Experience with watercarts, rollers or graders is highly regarded.
• Ability to work reasonable overtime and respond to emergencies on an on-call roster.
