Conference and Events Operations Supervisor

About the role

Join Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, a five‑star hotel in the heart of Sydney, as a Conference and Events Operations Supervisor. You will help deliver exceptional events in a fast‑paced, award‑winning conferencing department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organising and controlling day‑to‑day operations of large‑volume conference and catering facilities.
• Deliver smooth, efficient, courteous service to guests throughout all functions.
• Maintain clear, up‑to‑date communication with all relevant departments.
• Liaise closely with the culinary team to coordinate daily activities.
• Supervise, train and develop ambassadors and contribute to the banquet leadership team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel events, banquets or conference and events team (highly desirable).
• Strong knowledge of banquet, function and event service styles and standards.
• Passion for service excellence and a guest‑focused mindset.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Current RSA certification and flexibility to work varied shifts.
