Compliance Manager

About the role

An established financial services organisation serving institutional and corporate clients with an international presence is strengthening its Australian Compliance function. It is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to support regulatory and compliance responsibilities across its Australian operations, based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance with AFSL obligations.
• Support AML/CTF and financial crime compliance requirements.
• Carry out compliance monitoring, reviews and risk assessments.
• Give practical regulatory advice and guidance to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory reporting, audits and engagement with external authorities.
• Review new products, services and business initiatives from a compliance perspective.

Required profile

• Experience in a Line 2 Compliance role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and AFSL obligations.
• Exposure to AML/CTF and financial crime compliance.
• Experience across compliance monitoring, frameworks and regulatory change.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in payments, funds management, institutional financial services, CFD, FX or broader financial markets is highly regarded.
