Compliance Manager – Australian Regulatory Program

About the role

Affirm is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager for Australia to lead its compliance program, translating global strategy into local execution and ensuring all regulatory and licensing obligations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own and oversee the Australian regulatory compliance framework, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, National Credit Code, Privacy Act and ASIC guidelines.
• Lead ASIC examinations, licence interactions and supervisory engagements, and manage timely regulatory notifications and reporting.
• Maintain the regulatory obligations register, conduct risk assessments, set remediation priorities and oversee corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance metrics across responsible lending, product governance, complaints, hardship, collections, disclosures, marketing and consumer outcomes.
• Translate global compliance strategy into Australian operational plans and prepare reporting for executive leadership and risk committees.

Required profile

• 8+ years of regulatory compliance experience in Australian financial services, consumer credit, payments or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of Australian consumer credit and conduct regulation, ASIC expectations and responsible lending requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, setting priorities and driving program execution.
• Excellent judgment, decision‑making and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; legal, compliance, risk or financial services qualifications preferred.
