Company Accountant – Finance Business Partner

About the role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Company Accountant will partner with the business to provide insight, drive performance and ensure strong financial control across a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management reports and detailed financial analysis.
• Provide labour and project performance reporting for national operations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with year‑end reporting and external audit.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and Payroll Tax returns; reconcile Workers Compensation.
• Monitor cashflow performance and forecasting.
• Manage accounts payable, coordinate supplier and partner payments, and uphold financial controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA qualification preferred but not essential.
