Community Engagement Manager, NT

About the role

Westpac is expanding its Community Engagement team in the Northern Territory and is looking for two full‑time Community Engagement Managers. The role involves travelling to remote communities such as Tennant Creek to improve access to banking services and support financial inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with customers, community groups, Indigenous leaders and government stakeholders.
• Support vulnerable customers to access banking services and use digital tools.
• Deliver financial education and community‑engagement initiatives.
• Partner with Indigenous organisations, councils and service providers to identify local needs.
• Represent Westpac in remote locations and advocate for positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in community engagement, customer advocacy, social services or financial inclusion.
• Strong stakeholder‑building skills with an empathetic, agile approach.
• Passion for supporting Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Ability to work autonomously across geographically dispersed locations.
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote NT communities.
