Community Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Salvation Army’s Employment Plus is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Coordinator to build partnerships across Bayside and Eastern Melbourne, creating pathways that connect people with disability to meaningful employment opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with disability providers, schools, TAFEs, RTOs, community organisations and employers.
• Create and manage referral pathways that support participant engagement and program growth.
• Promote the Inclusive Employment Australia program at community events, expos and networking opportunities.
• Support employers in adopting inclusive employment practices.
• Collaborate with Employment Consultants and local leaders while maintaining stakeholder engagement records and reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in Employment Services, Disability Services, Community Services or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute to team success.
• Current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout the region.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
