Community Care Worker - Yeppoon

About the role

Mercy Community, a Catholic not-for-profit providing residential and community aged care services, is seeking Community Care Workers for Casual and Part-Time roles in Yeppoon. There are three vacancies open, and the position suits people starting their career in aged care or expanding their skills within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and daily living in line with their care plans
• Support clients with transport, social activities and community access
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to ensure the best possible care
• Provide home support including meal preparation, medication assistance and light domestic tasks

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support - Ageing (or studying towards it), or a higher qualification (desirable)
• Own reliable vehicle, Queensland Green P licence (or above) and comprehensive insurance
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain them
• A passion for helping people flourish in their everyday lives
• Unqualified candidates are also welcome in roles focused on domestic support and everyday assistance
