Communications Manager

About the role

The Communications Manager will shape and drive strategic communications for Red Bull projects, events, and athletes. Using storytelling, earned media and influencer relations, you will ensure brand‑consistent messaging across earned, managed and owned channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and activate communications around Red Bull events, projects and athletes, keeping all activity on brand.
• Generate organic conversation through earned media, influencer amplification and editorial relationships.
• Collaborate with Content, Programming and Creator Marketing teams to develop 360° media plans.
• Lead communications planning and delivery for sport, culture, gaming and entertainment properties.
• Oversee the full communications lifecycle, including messaging, press materials, agency briefs and on‑site event communications.
• Identify and activate earned media opportunities across podcasts, creators, social‑first platforms and niche communities.
• Manage crisis communications workflows for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations or media relations.
• Strong editorial and influencer network, especially within Australian news, culture and lifestyle media.
• Ability to translate marketing initiatives into compelling media stories.
• Experience managing crisis communications and coordinating with external partners.
