Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager

About the role

Lead community engagement and project communications for a solar and battery energy development near Woodstock in North Queensland. Work closely with project leadership to keep communities informed and address stakeholder concerns throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engagement plans that meet client and contractual commitments.
• Build constructive relationships with residents, landholders, First Nations stakeholders and government.
• Coordinate public communications, media and social media activities.
• Handle enquiries and complaints with clear ownership and timely follow‑through.
• Identify community and reputation risks and advise project leaders on responses.
• Help delivery teams understand their stakeholder obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in communications, media, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications; infrastructure or energy exposure preferred.
• Clear writing and confident communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Sound judgement when managing sensitive issues and competing priorities.
• Collaborative working style and strong relationship management.
