Communication Associate – Internal Communications

About the role

You will sit at the centre of how Westpac Institutional Bank connects, informs and inspires its people. Working with an experienced communications team, you will craft and publish content that cuts through and resonates across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Write, shape and publish internal stories, articles and multimedia pieces.
• Support communications campaigns and internal events.
• Manage communication channels and ensure consistent messaging.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and tailor content for diverse audiences.
• Deliver timely, high‑quality communications that align with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated communications experience, preferably in financial services or a government‑related agency.
• Tertiary qualification in communications, media, journalism, marketing, design or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
• Well‑developed stakeholder relationship skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive, dependable approach with sound judgement in a regulated environment.
