Common Area Cleaner / Housekeeper (Part-Time)

About the role

Avani Broadbeach Residences is expanding its housekeeping department and is hiring a Common Area Cleaner / Housekeeper on a part-time basis. The role keeps shared guest areas clean, hygienic and well presented, supporting guest satisfaction and the high standards of Minor Hotels.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common guest areas to the highest standards, keeping them hygienic and visually appealing.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, with training and tools provided.
• Build professional relationships with team members and guests.

Required profile

• Previous resort or hotel experience is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, able to bend, lift and stand for long periods.
• Professional communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Time management, prioritisation, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand.

Shift details and pay

• Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, morning and afternoon shifts (6.00am-12pm and 12.00pm-5.00pm).
• Hourly rates excluding superannuation: $26.44 on Monday-Friday, $33.05 on Saturday, $39.66 on Sunday.
