Commis Chef – Full‑time & Part‑time Opportunities

About the role

Accor’s Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery is seeking passionate Commis Chefs to join its culinary team. Three distinct positions are available across banqueting, breakfast, in‑room dining and the signature Italian restaurant Pastore.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of high‑quality dishes following culinary standards.
• Complete mise en place efficiently and maintain hygiene, organisation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Support smooth service across the designated operation, including stock rotation, portion control and waste minimisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Apprentice Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Genuine passion for food, strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work calmly in a fast‑paced environment and flexibility to work rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
