Commercial Manager / Specialist – Defence Projects

About the role

Babcock is seeking experienced Commercial Managers, Specialists and Officers to join its commercial team at the Henderson site. You will shape commercial strategy, oversee contract governance and drive continuous improvement across complex defence, aviation and marine projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage contract administration, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Provide leadership and guidance on complex commercial issues.
• Champion continuous improvement of commercial frameworks and processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven commercial leadership experience, preferably in the defence or a high‑accountability environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a background in business, accounting, finance or management.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills at all organisational levels.
