Commercial Manager (Parental Leave Cover)

About the role

KPMG Australia is hiring a Commercial Manager for a 12-month parental leave cover contract based in Perth. The role sits within the Managed Services and Commercial Operations teams, which work with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support complex engagements and long-term contracts. You will oversee the commercial and financial management of client contracts, partner with delivery, finance, procurement and client stakeholders, and lead commercial and financial workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial performance of client contracts across the contract lifecycle
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost management and variance analysis
• Manage client invoicing and oversee supplier payments
• Support supplier relationship management and end-to-end contract administration
• Prepare, review and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), contract variations and contractual documentation
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and track and report on them
• Identify, assess and manage commercial, contractual and financial risks
• Support commercial governance and ensure reporting is accurate and on time
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, finance teams and senior stakeholders

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial management, contract management, finance or a related commercial operations function
• Experience managing client contracts, supplier relationships and commercial obligations
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualifications are advantageous

Required skills

• Budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control and variance analysis
• Understanding of SOWs, contract variations and compliance requirements
• Risk identification and management
• Enterprise systems such as SAP, Sirion, ProTracker, CRM platforms and engagement risk management tools
