Commercial Litigation and Class Actions Lawyer

About the role

A market-leading Commercial Litigation practice at Clayton Utz is looking for a full-time Lawyer to join its Sydney team. You will work alongside partners Ross McInnes, Katie Wood and Vincent Giang, supporting Australian and international corporate and institutional clients with major complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle major complex commercial litigation across a range of areas, including high-profile disputes, investigations and inquiries
• Work on significant corporate litigation, class actions, representative proceedings and regulatory investigations by bodies such as ASIC
• Brief and liaise with counsel, draft correspondence and prepare advices
• Prepare witness and expert evidence and assist with final and interlocutory proceedings
• Advise clients and help them conduct internal enquiries and respond to regulatory investigations

Required profile

• 1 to 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Lawyer
• Strong commercial litigation and/or regulatory experience from a reputable disputes practice
• Strong academic achievements
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment that also values independent work
