Commercial Lawyer – 3+ Years PQE – Melbourne

About the role

This position offers a broad commercial practice covering corporate transactions, shareholder matters, commercial contracts, IP, privacy and advice for high‑net‑worth clients and growing businesses, including those expanding internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Handle corporate transactions such as business and share sales, drafting sale agreements and managing completion matters.
• Manage shareholder issues including separations, access to company records and exit arrangements.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as supply agreements, terms of trade and distribution arrangements.
• Provide privacy, digital marketing and IP advice, ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act, Spam Act, trademarks and online brand protection.
• Assist with competition and trade practices, due diligence, corporate governance, leasing, licensing, finance and security structuring.

Required profile

• 3+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial and corporate law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Client‑focused, commercial mindset with ability to manage matters under supervision.
• Collaborative team player who values a balanced, down‑to‑earth work environment.
