Commercial Finance Analyst

About the role

Saputo Dairy Australia is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its FP&A team at Freshwater Place. The role blends commercial reporting, analysis and business partnering to turn data into actionable insights that support finance and broader business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly sales reports for Foodservices and Route channels.
• Consolidate weekly Commercial P&L reporting with clear commentary.
• Complete month‑end reconciliations, journals and profitability reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and division‑wide management reporting.
• Analyse customer profitability, purchase price variance, freight and inventory.
• Partner with Commercial Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement and site finance to understand performance drivers.
• Investigate trends and anomalies, turning data into practical commercial insights.
• Contribute to regular and ad‑hoc business performance analysis and projects.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting, with CA or CPA qualification.
• At least three years of relevant experience in FMCG, manufacturing, dairy or a complex commercial environment.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and high attention to detail.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently.
• Clear communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capability, including building, running and interpreting financial reports and models.
• Experience with BI reporting tools.
• Exposure to SAP (advantageous but not essential).
