Commercial Disputes & Litigation Generalist

About the role

LegalVision is seeking an experienced commercial litigation lawyer to support and grow its membership client base. The role focuses on delivering practical, high‑quality legal support across a broad range of contentious commercial matters without billable hour targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance on complex or high‑value commercial disputes for members.
• Oversee and coordinate follow‑on legal work, ensuring matters are properly scoped, prioritised and progressed.
• Support and mentor junior lawyers working on member matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve the member experience and enhance the value of the membership offering.

Required profile

• Australian‑qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE in commercial disputes within private practice.
• Proven client relationship management skills and ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly.
• Experience advising on litigation strategy, case merits, cost estimates and budget forecasts.

Required skills

• Commercial litigation expertise across shareholder, contract, leasing, franchising, construction, employment and IP disputes.
• Mentoring or managing junior lawyers.
