Commercial Disputes, Insolvency & Construction Lawyer

About the role

Rostron Carlyle Lawyers is seeking a lawyer with 3-7 years' post-qualification experience to join its Commercial Disputes, Insolvency and Construction practice. The role suits an enthusiastic team player who takes ownership and works closely with partners while mentoring junior lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial disputes: draft correspondence and court documents, advise clients on litigation procedure and strategy, supervise and mentor juniors, and brief and instruct counsel.
• Insolvency: prepare creditors' statutory demands and bankruptcy notices; prepare and appear in creditors' petitions and sequestration proceedings; advise debtors on insolvency options and liquidators and bankruptcy trustees on recovery actions.
• Construction: front-end work for owners, developers, builders and subcontractors drafting and advising on contracts and neighbour agreements, and back-end dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Strong experience in commercial disputes (essential).
• Insolvency experience highly regarded.
• Construction law experience highly regarded.
• 3-7 years' post-qualification experience.
