Commercial Analyst

About the role

The Commercial Analyst will be the primary analyst driving insight into customer, product and overall business performance for a global supply‑chain and logistics company. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with Finance, Operations and senior stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer, product and business performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models that support pricing, profitability and investment decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning with robust, well‑tested analysis.
• Develop commercial business cases and evaluate new opportunities.
• Investigate variances to uncover the underlying reasons.
• Design reporting and dashboards that drive action.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual analysis.
• Present insights and recommendations to Finance, Operations and Sales stakeholders.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified, or well progressed towards completion.
• Strong background in commercial finance, business analysis or FP&A.
• Naturally curious mindset with a habit of asking “why” and “what if”.
• Commercial judgement to move beyond reporting and advise on actions.
• Confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in FMCG, logistics, supply chain or consumer goods is a plus.
