Cloud Engineer

About the role

Design, build and support platform services used by engineering teams globally, improving automation, reliability and security across Macquarie's cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production‑grade applications and microservices using languages such as Golang, Python, Ruby, Java, Node.js, C++ or Shell scripting.
• Implement and manage AWS infrastructure including CloudFormation, VPC, IAM, EC2, Lambda and cloud‑native automation.
• Contribute to platform engineering, AI‑assisted tooling, governance and site reliability initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and building scalable, highly available services.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

• Infrastructure as code, observability, reliability engineering
