Cloud Engineer - Azure

About the role

An experienced Cloud Engineer is sought with strong expertise in Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices. The role covers designing, building, automating, deploying and managing secure and scalable Azure workloads while following enterprise architecture standards, and supports the Investment, Wealth and Superannuation domain.

Key responsibilities

• Implement repeatable, reusable cloud infrastructure through IaC and establish engineering standards and automation patterns.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and define standardized approaches for infrastructure and application delivery.
• Design, build, deploy and configure Azure workloads in a DevOps-driven environment, including solution architectures and design documents.
• Integrate IaC with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including automated validation, testing, deployment and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging and observability solutions for managed cloud environments.
• Work with Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, Active Directory, SSO, SCIM and SAML for secure integrations and identity management.
• Review technical designs and collaborate with architects, delivery squads, BAU teams, principal engineers and project managers.
• Document architectures, design models, IaC modules and reusable patterns, and contribute to the central knowledge repository.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Azure DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing enterprise-scale IaC solutions and reusable infrastructure modules across multiple Azure environments.
• Preferred: prior experience in Investment, Wealth or Superannuation domains.
