About the role
The Clinical Trial Associate (CTA) supports the fast‑paced Clinical Trials team at Macquarie University’s Clinical Trials Unit. You will handle biological sample processing, maintain trial equipment, and ensure accurate documentation for a variety of Phase I‑IV studies.
Key responsibilities
- Process, store and ship biological samples, and oversee sample processing on allocated trials.
- Develop relationships with sponsors, couriers and central labs to ensure safe shipment and sample viability.
- Maintain lab consumable stock levels and arrange shipment of archived tissue samples with pathology centres.
- Collect and maintain trial paperwork in compliance with strict regulations and GCP standards.
- Provide administrative support and equipment maintenance as required.
Required profile
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and extraordinary attention to detail.
- Ability to multi‑task, manage competing priorities and solve problems.
- Passion for working in clinical trials and a commitment to compliance.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Laboratory technical experience, including sample processing and equipment handling.
