Clinical Operations Manager

About the role

AbbVie is looking for a Clinical Operations Manager to join its Sydney team on a 12-month maximum-term contract. You will lead and develop a team of clinical research professionals and help drive the delivery of priority clinical programs across Australia, working closely with investigators, research sites and cross-functional stakeholders to remove barriers to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, retain, mentor, assign tasks and develop the clinical research team, and oversee site visits, trend analysis and gap assessments to meet KPIs and metrics
• Support audit and inspection readiness, prepare and follow up on site and country audits and CAPA implementation
• Manage resources and budgets for assigned studies, and allocate resources according to study timelines
• Engage research sites with key opinion leaders, national leads and principal investigators, and support feasibility activities
• Take part in global or local task forces, and carry out ad hoc duties such as administrative work
• Ensure adherence to GCPs, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs and quality standards, report adverse events within 24 hours, and comply with WHS and ethical requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a health-related field (Medical, Scientific, Nursing, Pharmacy)
• At least 5 years of experience, including monitoring experience
• At least 1 year of direct line management experience preferred
• Experience across multiple therapeutic areas and study phases
