Clinical Nurse Specialist - Menopause

About the role

Women & Newborn Health Service (WNHS) is recruiting a permanent part-time Clinical Nurse Specialist for its Menopause specialty, based in Perth Metropolitan, Western Australia. The role sits within a newly created and redefined midwifery and nursing leadership structure and is open to nurses who are available to work on Wednesdays.

Key responsibilities

• Practice as a Senior Registered Nurse in line with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards.
• Develop and maintain standards of practice for safe, quality patient care in the Menopause specialty, aligned with the North Metropolitan Health Service vision, mission and values.
• Provide advanced clinical leadership and expect nursing care to support safe, high-quality, woman-centred menopause care delivered through WNHS King Edward Memorial Hospital.
• Demonstrate professional leadership, role model and promote a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Documentary evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
• Visa sponsorship is only available in limited cases for overseas applicants.
• Application requires a detailed resume, two referees (one preferably a recent manager or clinical supervisor) and a cover letter covering clinical knowledge, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, quality improvement and knowledge of equal opportunity, disability services and work health and safety obligations.
