Clinical Nurse Manager - Integrated Community Services

About the role

The East Metropolitan Health Service is recruiting four Clinical Nurse Managers for Integrated Community Drug and Alcohol Services (CADS) at Joondalup, Midland and Fremantle. The role is a permanent full-time, fixed-term appointment of 76 hours per fortnight. The Clinical Nurse Manager leads, coordinates and supervises staff in the Next Step Service, contributes to nursing practice standards, research and quality improvement, and delivers evidence-based care to consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead and supervise staff within the remit of the Next Step Service
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of nursing practice standards
• Initiate research and quality improvement activities and implement changes that improve service provision
• Provide clinical and professional expertise so that comprehensive, evidence-based care is delivered to consumers
• Coordinate day-to-day operations
• Practice within scope of practice, considering the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart

Required profile

• Valid Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency or a visa allowing ongoing employment)
• Satisfactory references, preferably from a current supervisor or manager
• Ability to meet the essential and desirable selection criteria set out in the Job Description Form
