Client Manager - Financial Lines

About the role

Gallagher, a global leader in insurance broking, risk management and consulting, is looking for a Client Manager in East Melbourne. The role manages and grows a portfolio of corporate clients, advising on a range of financial lines products, and offers the chance to handle the full suite of financial lines products for a diverse client base from ASX listed companies to financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop business relationships with new and existing clients
• Describe insurable risk, design bespoke insurance solutions and negotiate deals in the global insurance market
• Build and maintain working relationships with underwriting partners
• Manage the budget, business plan and debtors
• Actively mentor team members
• Build a long-term pipeline to support new business growth
• Promote the Gallagher brand within the local business community

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to the insurance industry (particularly financial lines)
• Strong account management experience gained within corporate broking
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
• Proactive approach to account management and service delivery
• Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
• Driven and professional, willing to contribute to a team
