Internal Account Executive

About the role

Gallagher, a global leader in insurance broking, risk management and consulting, is hiring an Internal Account Executive in its Melbourne Mid-Market Division. You will support and service a portfolio of large commercial and corporate insurance clients while working closely with the Principal Broker, gaining exposure to a diverse client base and contributing to client retention, growth and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support an existing portfolio of commercial and corporate insurance clients
• Assist with policy renewals, endorsements and general account administration
• Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
• Identify cross-selling and growth opportunities within the portfolio
• Prepare quotations, policy documentation and client communications
• Support credit management and maintain accurate client records
• Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and deliver exceptional client service

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
• A license is required
• Experience in insurance, financial services or a client-facing environment
• Tier 1 insurance qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
• Preferred: professional designation such as CPCU, CIC or ARM

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and similar
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management capabilities
