Civil/Structural Drafter

About the role

GPA Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Drafter to join its Adelaide team. You will work within a multidisciplinary group delivering projects across oil & gas, mining, water, power and other heavy‑industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and maintain 2D civil and structural drawings and 3D models for a variety of projects.
• Produce general arrangements, plans, elevations, sections and construction details to a high standard.
• Develop and coordinate 3D models to support multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Apply Australian Standards, client specifications and GPA drafting standards.
• Participate in drawing and model reviews, incorporate changes and resolve design clashes.
• Manage drafting activities to meet project schedules and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering Design Drafting (or currently studying).
• 3–10 years of civil/structural drafting experience, preferably in heavy‑industry sectors such as oil & gas, mining, water or power.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering mark‑ups, standards and client specifications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Experience with Civil 3D, Advance Steel, Revit or similar design and modelling software.
• Capability in producing high‑quality 2D drawings and 3D models.
