Civil Operator (Casual) - Bulk Earthworks

About the role

AWX is recruiting civil operators for established civil contractors working on current and upcoming projects in Townsville. The work is day work only, Monday to Friday with some Saturdays, in 9-hour days, covering bulk earthworks and civil construction. Pay is $36.00 to $45.00 per hour plus penalties depending on experience and machine.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery in bulk earthworks and civil construction environments
• Work as part of experienced crews on large-scale projects
• Contribute to lifestyle, infrastructure and subdivision developments
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, productivity and quality

Required profile

• Driver's licence with no restrictions
• White Card
• Construction or civil experience
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test, functional assessment and clean police check

Required skills

• RIIs (road incident identification) for machinery and experience operating them
• Operating excavators, graders, rollers, watercarts and all-rounders
