Civil & Mechanical Supervisor – Solar Farm Project

About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent, a project team is looking to appoint Civil & Mechanical Supervisors with strong technical expertise in large-scale solar farm construction and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate leads and coordinates civil and mechanical crews and subcontractors across multiple work fronts, plans and sequences daily activities in line with the construction programme and ensures labour, plant and materials are available. This is a site-based position (DIDO) on a major renewable energy project with a rostered 9/5 arrangement, with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the contractual requirements of work crews within agreed budgets
• Arrange project logistics
• Supervise site work in terms of quality, timeliness and compliance
• Organise and supervise people, plant and machinery resources
• Plan works and arrange the resources and materials needed for jobs
• Ensure all work complies with company policies and procedures
• Prioritise works, programme schedules and supervise works

Required profile

• Relevant trade or tertiary qualification (e.g. Civil/Mechanical Construction, Engineering) and a Construction White Card
• Demonstrated experience supervising works on infrastructure or energy projects
• Experience on major projects such as roads, rail, bridges, solar/wind farms and substations

Required skills

• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical construction methods
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and project specifications
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and ITPs
