Civil Labourer with HR Licence – Cement Spreader

About the role

AWX partners with a civil roadworks provider covering the region from Bowen to Marlborough, known for strong staff retention and the chance to become permanent after a qualifying period. The role is civil labouring with a current HR licence and operating a cement spreader (training provided); the spreader has multiple controls for accurate drops and spreading.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a close-knit pavement crew
• Remove old pavements and cement for new works
• Concrete, dig and install culverts
• Operate the cement spreader

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted HR licence (essential)
• White Construction Card
• Experience in civil or roadwork operations, spreaders, vac trucks, water carts or similar is highly desirable
• Able to work with multiple tasks and under pressure; a relaxed, easygoing manner is valued
• Medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screen required

• $45.40 per hour plus penalties, LAHA, allowances and camp meals
